Everyday Legend Datong Workshop 2017

Everyday Legend Datong Workshop 2017 EVERYDAY LEGEND DATONG WORKSHOP

DATE: 3 JUNE, 2017

VENUE: DATONG UNIVERSITY

After a fruitful field trip across different cities in Shanxi Province in China, the project network conducted a workshop afterwards to reflect on the trip. Datong University kindly offered to be the host venue. It was a great opportunity for the project team to share their findings and views with local students, scholars and practitioners. The workshop was chaired by Dr Yi Bao, who was also the guide for the Shanxi field trip.

The workshop began with an introduction to Leverhulme Trust and the funded network project Everyday Legend to the audience in Datong. All participants of the field trip then shared their visual report to highlight the most memorable scene that they encountered. The workshop then ended with an open discussion as well as agenda for the project’s future plans. Speakers include Professor Sui Jianguo, Professor Jiang Jiehong, Dr Yi Bao, Professor Oliver Moore and Professor Michael Hitchcock.
