Project title: Resting Tray

Can you tell us a little more about your project?

When cooking a steak, you need to give it a five minute rest. At home I just use and board and it becomes very messy, so I decided to design a resting tray. You simply place the steak on the grooves and leave it to drain. You can also cut the steak on the board and even serve with it if you wish.

How important is being able to exhibit externally?

Very important as it gets myself out there.

What has your highlight of the course been so far?

Definitely this project so far.

Could you tell us a little more about your design interests?

I like sport design and male fashion. I also like design as a whole and any sort of design interest me in certain ways.

What advice would you give to someone considering studying Product and Furniture Design at BCU?

Start work as early as possible don’t leave anything last minute. Also test yourself by choosing a wide range of designs so your portfolio at the end of third year has a wide range of designs and techniques.
