Explore Sound Day

This month we hosted a group of students on campus for an Explore Sound Day. Through three hands-on workshops, students set up the recording studio in Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and used the mixing desks, learned about building acoustics, and analysed audio in one of our computer labs whilst learning to use new software. They met current students and staff and learned about the variety of careers in Sound Engineering.

If you would like to bring a group of your students for an Explore Sound Day, please email schoolsandcolleges@bcu.ac.uk. We are currently taking bookings for Autumn. Explore Sound is suitable for Level 3 students with an interest in sound studying Music, Music Tech, Physics or Applied Science.
