Dr Tom Graeme-Drury

Dr Tom Graeme-Drury delivers teaching on anatomy, physiology, and research/academic skills modules on a range of courses, with a focus on providing interactive, accessible, and practical teaching.

Initially trained in psychology and cognitive science at the University of Plymouth, Tom originally worked in neuropsychological research groups investigating neurodegeneration and cognitive impairment before completing his PhD in the source reconstruction of the neural correlates of pain in magnetoencephalography at Birmingham City University in 2023.

Tom’s passion lies in providing opportunities for students to develop resilience and confidence in anatomy and physiology, academic skills, research design, and statistical analysis. He is actively studying how students engage with directed learning, student outcomes with traditional vs digital anatomy education techniques, and improvisational training on mental wellbeing. His supervised students develop projects around experimental pain and physical or neuropsychological metrics, or perform analyses of brain matter density in open-access datasets.
