Course Leader

Welcome Message
Welcome to the BA Landscape Architecture course. We are delighted that you will be joining our creative and collaborative learning community this year. We strongly encourage you to attend Induction Week (starting on 14 September), as it is an important part of settling into university life and getting to know both the course and your fellow students.
During your first few weeks, you will be introduced to the city, the university, and the wider creative community through a programme of activities, including a city tour and a community event organised as part of your Induction Week. These experiences are designed to help you feel connected to the places and people that will shape your studies over the coming years.
Landscape Architecture is a dynamic and interdisciplinary subject that explores the relationship between people, place, ecology, and design. You will learn through studio-based projects, site visits, workshops, drawing, research, and collaborative discussion, developing both creative and critical approaches to landscape practice. Throughout your studies, you will be supported by a dedicated teaching team and your personal tutor, who will help guide your academic and professional development.
We also encourage you to visit the Students’ Union Fairs taking place on 15 September at City South and 16–17 September at City Centre. We look forward to welcoming you in September.
Course Location

Your course will mainly be taught in:

And remember, the weather in Birmingham can be changeable!
