    Welcome Message

Welcome to the BA (Hons) Horology degree at BCU. We’re delighted that you’ll be joining us this September, and we’re really looking forward to getting to know you over the next three years.

To help you settle into university, we’ve organised a Welcome Week (w/c 14th September), when you can meet your tutors and fellow students, and begin to get your head around the university’s facilities, services, Course and opportunities available to you. I would also encourage you to visit the Students’ Union Fair, where you can meet student societies, support services, and fellow students, this is at the City Centre Campus and events take place on 16th September.

Please don't rush out and buy lots of tools before you arrive, but do have a look through the tools and reading information given on our Moodle page. If you have any questions ahead of Induction Week, please do drop me an email – Mathew.Porton@bcu.ac.uk.

Have a great summer and we look forward to welcoming you person in September.

    First day on Campus

We look forward to welcoming you to Birmingham City University!

You must have your ID card visible at all times when on campus, so if you have received yours before your first day, ensure you bring this with you. To complete your enrolment, you will need the following:

    • Original qualification documents if applicable (you will be emailed a list of the documents we need to see once you have completed your online enrolment)

What else? The rest is up to you! You will find a shop, café, pub, computer access and water fountains on campus, but we do recommend you bring the following on the first day:

    • Laptop, if you have one
    • Notepad and pen
    • Reusable water bottle

And remember, the weather in Birmingham can be changeable!
