Welcome Message
Welcome to the Construction Management Degree Apprenticeship at Birmingham City University.
As Course Lead, and on behalf of the Construction Management team, I am delighted to welcome you to the programme. By joining this apprenticeship, you are taking an important step in developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to become a successful construction professional and future industry leader.
This programme combines academic learning with practical workplace experience, enabling you to apply what you learn directly to real projects and challenges within your organisation. Throughout your studies, you will develop competencies in project management, construction technology, sustainability, digital construction, leadership, and professional practice, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career.
The programme is also designed to support your progression towards professional recognition and chartered membership with relevant professional bodies. Alongside the academic team, you will be supported by a dedicated Skills Coach who will help guide your professional development, monitor your progress, and support you in achieving the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required throughout your apprenticeship journey.
I encourage you to fully engage with Induction Week and take advantage of the support, resources, and networking opportunities available to you. We look forward to working with you and supporting your development as a construction professional throughout your apprenticeship.
