An Offer Holder Day is more in-depth than an Open Day and gives you a more tailored experience. You'll find out more about your course and hear about the student experience through taster sessions and opportunities to meet academic staff and current students. You will also have an opportunity to view our accommodation and chat to our support services.
If you have already been to an Open Day, this is your chance to explore your course and subject area in more detail and if not, you'll get an in-depth introduction to studying here.
You are welcome to bring one guest with you to an Offer Holder Day – and we provide a special programme of activities for parents and carers (outlined in the schedule below). We know that parents and carers have lots of questions and concerns about what university life is like, so we have provided dedicated time for them to get the information they need.

Creative Practice
During this session, you will get the experience of what it is like to learn on our courses. You will be introduced to a new design skill and be given time to get hands-on in applying it across the activity. Working in our dedicated studio spaces, you will learn, make, and explore in an environment that mimics the collaborative nature of the studio learning experience and craft something that reflects your chosen discipline and your creative style.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your work with course tutors throughout the session, so that you leave with newfound inspiration that you can reflect in your future creative work.

Get Inspired
For the second session, you will have the chance to be inspired by our academics and other students. We will break out into small groups in a tutorial-style session, looking at the work from the morning session, reflecting how you’ll be taught if you choose to study at BCU. Our academics will work closely with you to understand your unique approach and provide feedback on your work and ideas, allowing you to develop further as a creative individual.
If you’d like to, please feel free to bring a piece of your creative work from school or college, or work that has inspired you, to this session for additional feedback and discussion. Examples of what you could bring include:
If you are unable to bring something on the day, please don’t worry as we will have items and ideas for you to choose from at the event to inspire you in your session.
