Dr Adam Lynes is currently involved in a number of ongoing research projects. With regard to research articles, he is currently examining the supposed links between drill music and the rise in knife crime, along with further developing his new theoretical framework on serial murder (the Dark Flâneur) which seeks to re-orientate academic discussions on this form of offending.
With regard to book projects, he is a co-editor and contributor of a new collection examining various forms of deviant and criminal behavior within videogames (, published through Emerald Points). He is also an editor and contributor towards a brand new student textbook titled , due to be published by Waterside Press. Lastly, Dr Lynes is currently working on a follow up to , focusing this time on policing and published through Bristol Policy Press.

Adam has done extensive media work for a variety of mediums including live radio and news; article contributions for newspapers including the Times along with expert contributions to new stories. He has also took part in a number of television documentaries.
Adam has worked, due to his media contributions on the “Croydon Cat Ripper” story in a variety of newspapers, with cat protection agencies on their campaign to implement stricter air gun control measures
