Adele Clifford

Adele graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2011 with a Diploma in Paediatric Nursing and worked as a registered Paediatric nurse in a range of clinical environments including the Paediatric Emergency Department, Neonatal Intensive Care, Paediatric High Dependency Unit and Paediatric Medical and Surgical wards. Adele gained a wide range of clinical and leadership skills, as well as gaining a certificate in Mentorship in Nursing in 2017. Adele mentored undergraduate students within Paediatric Nursing and developed a passion for facilitating education and providing pastoral support to student nurses.

In 2019, Adele attended the Advanced Paediatric Life Support course, gained further knowledge and skills in advanced Paediatric resuscitation and was nominated to become an instructor for this course. She then went on to gain instructor status and became a Resuscitation and Simulation Trainer in 2020 educating undergraduate medical students and postgraduate healthcare staff on nationally accredited Resuscitation courses, teaching a variety of clinical skills including intravenous fluid administration and nasogastric tube insertion and facilitating both high and low fidelity simulations.

In 2021, Adele studied part-time and converted her Diploma in Nursing to a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies and achieved a first degree.

Adele has developed a keen interest in Nurse Education and Pastoral Support for students and aims to support every student in achieving their potential in their future career as a nurse.
