The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and Creative Networks are to hold a special screening and Q & A session at Birmingham City University on Thursday 31 October.
The free event will include screenings of selected short films that were nominated in this year's EE British Academy Film Awards in the Short Animations and Short Films categories.
Entries that were shortlisted in the Short Films category that will be shown on the night include The Curse, Good Night and The Voorman Problem, which follows the story of a psychiatrist sent to prison to examine an inmate with a peculiar affliction.
The screenings will be followed by a Q & A session with writer and director Will Anderson, who was the winner in the Short Animations category for The Making of Longbird, which will also be shown during the evening.
Hosts of the event, Creative Networks, provide a space for innovators to meet, share ideas and shape the future. As well as delivering valuable insights into technology trends and developments, Creative Networks bring together parties involved in screen-based and sound based media in the West Midlands, promoting both successful business development and collaboration.
