Whether you're still deciding which University to go to, which course to study, or even if you're thinking of a change of career or to return to education, Birmingham City University's Open Day this Saturday may provide the answers you need.

The Open Day is taking place this Saturday (5 October) from 9am to 3pm at three of the University's campuses – City Centre Campus at East Side, City South in Edgbaston and City North in Perry Barr.

At the heart of the Open Day will be a wide range of activities, exhibitions and presentations giving visitors the chance to meet staff and students. Guided tours of campuses will show off Birmingham City University's facilities and on-site student accommodation.

Visitors to the City Centre Campus will be able to take a tour of the impressive new Parkside Building which houses the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design and Birmingham School of Media. The new facility, part of an ambitious £260 million investment programme, brings together the University's world-class design and media provision to form a creative learning hub featuring industry-standard TV and radio studios, creating the biggest broadcast centre in any UK university.

The City Centre Campus is also home to the Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment, located within Millennium Point.

For those interested in health courses, the University's City South Campus in Edgbaston is the place to be. Visit the mock wards and operating theatre, and watch paramedics as they simulate a mock accident scenario.

Visitors to City North Campus will have the opportunity of attending a discussion led by one of the country's leading criminologists and presenter of Channel 5 show, Killers Behind Bars, Professor David Wilson. Professor Wilson will discuss the phenomenon of serial murder and what this might tell us about the development of British society.

Register for the Open Day, check which campus you need for your subject and further information.
