Ella Stokes and Ethan Lowry, Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Scholar and Technician respectively – both based at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire – recently joined Principal Julian Lloyd Webber and brother Andrew for a set of world premieres performed by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall.

The orchestra hosted Andrew Lloyd Webber on Friday 1 November for the first performances of three new symphonic suites, arranged and conducted by Andrew Cottee, taken from three of Lloyd Webber’s greatest shows – Evita, Sunset Boulevard and Phantom of the Opera.

The CBSO is proud to work in partnership with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, offering a programme of high-quality professional learning experiences for the orchestral musicians of the future.

Andrew Lloyd Webber commented "I have hoped for a long while that there would be Symphonic Suites based on Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard and Evita. I am thrilled that Andrew Cottee has orchestrated these pieces of my music and I am honoured that the CBSO presented them so wonderfully on Friday evening."

Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation was set up by Andrew in 1992 to promote the arts, culture and heritage for the public benefit; since inception, Andrew has been the principal provider of funding for all its charitable activities.
