A child nursing commission offering guaranteed employment with Birmingham Children’s Hospital has been launched by Birmingham City University.
Professionally accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), the three year course will allow students to train to become a Registered Child Nurse, with successful graduates offered a full time permanent position with Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Based between Birmingham City University and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, students will have access to the University’s state-of-the-art simulation facilities and skills suite, whilst also benefiting from hospital placements across all specialist areas, which could include cardiac services, the teenage cancer centre and paediatric intensive care.

Places are limited and are not NHS funded and students will be required to pay course fees and access finance via the Student Loans Company.
