Graduates from Birmingham City University's School of Visual Communication staged an extravagant Awards Ceremony that gave the Oscars a run for its money.
‘The Trevors' celebrated the success and confidence the graduates developed during their time at university whilst also launching their exciting final year exhibition which showcased the high-level professional skills they are now ready to offer to creative industries worldwide.
Named after the well-known advertising supremo Trevor Beattie, the event is the pinnacle of the students' final year work. Mr Beattie has generously supported Birmingham City University students over a number of years. This year, as well as lending his name to the trophies, he supported two awards with valuable work placements.
Other ‘Trevors' are associated with work placements or in some cases original artworks, sponsored by industry professionals in the fields of branding, photography, illustration, animation and moving image. Other sponsors include Tate Britain, The Association of Illustrators, Panasonic, and numerous professionals from the creative industries including leading illustrator Dave McKean.
