A charity single, written by Walsall student Michael Paul, is being launched later this month.

‘Nation's Heroes' supports the Help for Heroes charity and will commemorate those lives lost in Afghanistan, help the wounded and remember the loved ones left behind.

Michael Paul, who is a part-time student at Birmingham City University, worked with friend Rosemary Walker to create the tribute song. Rosemary, who lives near Wootton Bassett, believed that only the medium of song could deliver such a strong and powerful message about war and devastation on people's lives.

Cheltenham based producer Ray Brook is behind the music and production and all those involved in the project have waived their royalties to ensure the Help for Heroes charity receives maximum profits.

By buying the song 'Nation's Heroes' each and every one of us can assist in our own small way to support a worthy cause and provide much needed funding to the Help for Heroes charity providing financial support to servicemen and women who suffer serious injuries.

Michael Paul said: "I am honoured to offer words of comfort through my song to everyone involved, as we are all proud of our serving soldiers and with 100% backing from the Help for Heroes charity we can all make a difference in these troubled times."
