Birmingham City University and Creative Networks are hosting a free master class this month, led by BAFTA award winning documentary-maker, Marc Isaacs.

Since 2001, Marc Isaacs had made more than 10 creative documentaries for BBC and Channel 4, with his films going on to win Grierson, Royal Television Society and BAFTA awards as well as numerous international film festival prizes.

The master class at Birmingham City University on Thursday 25 April will see Marc discuss his approach to making documentaries as well as showing clips from his films, followed by a Q&A session.

Marc is also a guest lecturer at the National Film and Television School, Royal Holloway University and London Film School.

Marc’s new film, ‘The Road: A Story of Life and Death’, saw him install cameras at various points along a 300-mile long road to weave together many poignant stories of loss and the search for belonging.
