A Birmingham City University Graduate and award winning designer, Jack Row is due to launch his latest collection of luxury British writing instruments at this year’s Goldsmiths Fair.

Following the success of his debut ‘Architect’ collection at Harrods earlier this year – a range of high-end products designed to reflect some of Britain’s most iconic landmarks and included a £27,000 white gold and diamond detailed fountain pen – Jack is set to launch his ‘Jaali’ and ‘City’ collections, as well as several one off pieces, at the prestigious fair in London next week.

This year the annual fair celebrates its 30th year - supporting the skills and artistic talents of the country’s most creative and contemporary jewellers and silversmiths, as well as offering the opportunity to meet and buy from leading design-makers.

26 year old Jack, studied ‘Jewellery and Silversmithing: Design for Industry’ at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design – part of Birmingham City University – before securing a role with leading bespoke jewellery company, Weston Beamor Ltd. In 2010 Jack set up his own studio in Birmingham where he began creating his pieces with an emphasis on luxurious and innovative pieces

Jack commented on his new Jaali range: “My newest collection of luxury fountain pens and cufflinks are intended to be collectable contemporary treasures, each piece being hand crafted in England from solid sterling silver and 18ct gold and set with accents of precious petrol-blue diamonds. Inspiration for the collection is drawn from the geometric patterns of Islamic art, which is translated into the ‘Jaali’ latticed screens, characteristic of Moghul Indian architecture.”

Alongside the ‘Jaali’ collection, Jack is also launching his more affordable ‘City’ collection – handcrafted from sterling silver set with precious gemstones such as diamonds, rubies and sapphires.

Jack will be exhibiting his collections at the Goldsmiths’ Fair from 24 – 30 September at the Goldsmiths’ Hall in London.
