Julie Watters, Alarm Awards nominee

A recent Birmingham City Business School graduate has been nominated for an award at the annual Alarm Risk Conference.

Julie Watters, who graduated from our MSc Risk Management course last year, is in the running for the 2016 Student of the Year award at the ceremony to be held at Manchester University from June 26 to 28. Julie earned this nomination during her course, where she embarked on a long look at the Risk Management standards at play in NHS Scotland.

Julie was nominated by Dr Andrew Hollyhead, Associate Professor of Risk Management and member of the Centre for Internal Audit, Governance and Risk Management. Dr Hollyhead said of Julie:

The Conference is ran by Alarm, the public risk management association. This is in fact the second time that a Business School graduate has been short listed for the Student of the Year award at the ceremony, following John Lawson's nomination last year.
