Birmingham School of Architecture and Design third year tutor Anna Parker has been nominated as a finalist in the Property and Construction category of the prestigious ‘Birmingham Young Professional of the Year’ award for 2016.
The winner of the award, headed by Greater Birmingham membership organisation ‘BPS Birmingham Future’, will be announced at the ceremony taking place at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre (ICC) on Thursday 12 May.

Anna Parker, also Director and Founder of Digbeth-based architecture and design studio, ‘Intervention Architecture’; focusing on “high quality contemporary design”, is joined by fellow finalists Mike Lally, Project Manager at ‘Mace’ and Will Jordan, Associate at ‘Knight Frank’. Anna said:
Intervention Architecture
Intervention Architecture’s first completed project from conception is a Writer’s Coach House in Moseley, which includes the refurbishment and extension of a dilapidated outbuilding to create a contemporary live/work studio. The completed coach house has been featured in the international design magazine Dezeen and Dwell Magazine.
In addition to Anna's architectural practice, she also contributes to the future of the industry in Birmingham, teaching a third-year studio unit on the undergraduate BA (Hons) Architecture course at Birmingham School of Architecture and Design. Anna added:
Royal Institute of British Architects
Anna also sits on the panel for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Small Practice Group, to represent small architecture practices within the United Kingdom, contributing as an active voice within the RIBA outreach community for the next six years.
