PhD student hails 53rd International Federation of Landscape Architects World Congress as an “amazing experience”

Landscape Architecture PhD student Anastasia Nikologianni attended the 53rd International Federation of Landscape Architects World Congress held in Turin from 20 to 22 April which looked for ways to improve populated areas of the world.

As part of the 'Tasting the landscape' Congress featuring landscape architects from all over the world, Anastasia had the opportunity to meet industry experts and present part of her PhD research paper alongside an oral poster. Anastasia said:

Straight after the event in Turin, Anastasia's next stop was Budapest, where she attended two different events held by the EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) focusing on entrepreneurship, innovation and climate change. Anastasia added:

"The EIT CONNECT 2016 event (24-25 April) was part of my 'responsibilities' as Communications Director of the Climate KIC Alumni Association where we welcomed more than 100 young entrepreneurs from across Europe. The event, was full of energy and new ideas.

"One day later (25-26 April) I attended the InnovEIT (EIT Forum) where we had the opportunity to meet business entrepreneurs, politicians and EU commissioners and discuss technological and entrepreneurial improvements.
