Faculty staff prove their relevant research expertise

Two Birmingham City Business School (BCBS) academics have been named as the joint winners of the 2011/2012 Research Papers Competition – a scheme designed to highlight the work of up-and-coming researchers within The School.

The winning research by Dr Hatem El-Gohary and Mrs Cindy Millman showcases the high levels of quality knowledge and expertise that is held within Birmingham City Business School, and reinforces the potential influence and impact of this relevant academic research in the business world and wider community.

Dr El-Gohary’s paper, rated as 4* research, was published in Tourism Management:

Factors affecting E-Marketing adoption and implementation in tourism firms: An empirical investigation of Egyptian small tourism organisations.

Mrs Millman’s paper, rated as 2* research, was published in International Journal of Online Marketing: E-Commerce adoption by micro firms: A qualitative investigation in the UK tourism sector.
