Andrew is an academic manager with responsibility for the academic quality and the student experience in the School of Digital Media Technology.

He is a qualified teacher who had worked in Schools and Colleges as well as lecturing in HE. He has lectured in business, management, professional and contextual studies for technology-based courses in Hertfordshire University, the Open University and Birmingham University as well as Birmingham City University. He has acted as an external examiner and has also gained experience outside HE working in food manufacturing and the wholesaling sector in addition to spending time as a market research consultant.

He was a Course Director for BEng (Hons) Engineering, HND Industrial Information Technology and the Foundation Year before taking on the role of Senior Academic for Academic Quality in 2002 which became a Faculty-wide role until being located into Schools following reorganization. He has served on the University Senate and other University Committees and currently chairs the Faculty’s Academic Ethics Committee. As well as teaching he continues to contribute papers to academic Conferences as well as work on publications.
