It’s open to everyone, but it’s definitely for you if you…
Want to study at a modern university in a major city: We’re at the heart of the UK’s second-largest city with a population of over 1.1 million people – over 85,000 of which are students at the city’s five universities (West Midlands Growth Company 2021).
Want to study a course which develops your employability: Our courses are designed to deliver practice-based learning at every stage. We provide the chance to gain industry and professional practice experience through work placements, mentoring schemes, guest speakers and more.
Want to study in ultra-modern facilities and learning spaces: We are currently undertaking a £340 million investment programme in our facilities, including a major expansion of our City Centre Campus.
Already have an offer to study at BCU: Even if you have an offer to study with us but haven't yet looked around, we would love to meet you. Visiting us is the best way to know if you can picture yourself studying here.
Enjoy a tailored and personalised experience: You'll be able to attend subject-specific talks, as well as having the opportunity to chat with lecturers, staff and current students to get your questions answered and see if BCU's the right fit for you. There are also general talks and info for things like student finance.
Meet lecturers and staff: From handy course overview talks from the staff who would be teaching you, to Q+A sessions on the day covering subject-specific information and then more practical information, getting to meet our friendly staff and asking them your burning questions is a great way to decide on the right course for you.
Explore our facilities and take tours: From our computing labs to mock wards for Nursing students, you can find out everything you need to know about our state-of-the-art facilities at our Open Day to ensure you'll be using the industry standard, preparing you for the world of work before you even graduate. This is your chance to experience the creative community at BCU. The theme of this years show is sustainability, which is at the forefront of the University's strategic plan and interweaves throughout the teaching, learning and research environment across our faculty.
Ask our students questions: You can ask them how they picked their courses, and what made them choose BCU. On campus, you'll find lots of student ambassadors who can give you a great insight into student life at BCU and answer all your questions in person.
Please note that Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is not part of this event and holds separate Open Days for acting and music courses.
We will also be holding a Postgraduate Open Day on this date. If you are interested in postgraduate study, find out about our Postgraduate Open Day.
