Postgraduate students from the School of Art have set up a Kickstarter page to help fund their annual show.
‘A Line Drawn from the Eye to the Summit’ will be held from 4 till 10 September 2015 at the historic Margaret Street building in Birmingham city centre.
Kickstarter allows users to ‘crowdsource’ funding for a project online. Past projects have included smart-watches, video game consoles and feature films.
Art show
The show will bring together over 70 artists and philosophers from Birmingham City University's Art-based Masters programme, and is an opportunity to see new work and emerging talents from students from across Europe, Asia and the UK.
This final exhibition has been designed, curated and publicised by the students themselves. Although students have already contributed over half of the money required, more funding is needed to ensure audiences get the best possible experience.
