Artists of the future unveiled at University shows

Birmingham City University will be opening its doors to the public this weekend and offering visitors an exclusive opportunity to view the creative work of its postgraduate students.

The 2013 Postgraduate shows will take place at two of the University’s campuses - Margaret Street in Birmingham City Centre and Vittoria Street in the Jewellery Quarter.

Bursting with creativity, the shows will allow visitors the opportunity to explore some of the University's talent as the next generation of creative professionals unveil their designs to the public.

The University’s School of Art at Margaret Street will showcase the work of students using a range of practices including painting, sculpture, film, video, photography and print and design. Whilst the Vittoria Street campus will reveal the eclectic designs from students at the University’s School of Jewellery.

All of the shows are free to attend. The School of Art is open daily from Saturday 7 September to Wednesday 11 September. The School of Jewellery is open weekdays only from Monday 9 September to Thursday 26 September.
