UNIVERSITY NEWS LAST UPDATED : 04 SEPTEMBER 2012

Looking for something different to do on your lunch break this week? Birmingham City University’s School of Art is opening its doors to the public for a week long exhibition showcasing the work of talented postgraduate art students.

The annual Postgraduate show showcases the talent and creativity of emerging arts professionals. John Wigley, Course Director for the BA (Hons) Fine Art said: “The postgraduate shows are a culmination of a year’s dedicated work by students on the MA courses. We are opening the School of Art to the public this week allowing them to explore the impressive and diverse range of works by some of our students.

“There is a rich mix of work on display from paintings, drawings, videos and sound works. The show is open daily at our impressive Margaret Street Campus, with something for everyone to enjoy - even if you only have half an hour on your lunch break, we welcome all to explore the talent that Birmingham has to offer.”

The School of Art’s Margaret Street Campus will be open all this week until Sunday 9 September, weekdays from 10am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm. For further information please call 0121 331 5809.
