Enhancing your employability

OpportUNIty is a University-wide scheme that can enables you to work and gain valuable experience while you study with us.

The scheme gives you the chance to fill many part-time temporary positions within the University. This allows you to work while you study with us, fitting the job around your course commitments. The OpportUNIty concept was named and branded by Art and Design student Samantha Neville, through a student competition.

Design students and OpportUNIty

While studying his MA Interior Design, Jake Griffiths took part in a Student Academic Partnership contract and worked on the development of digital teaching resources for the BA (Hons) Design Studies course.

After graduating Jake joined the BA (Hons) Design Studies teaching team as a visiting lecturer in Interior Design. He is also now working as an Interior Designer at Harrison Design Practice.
