Architecture News: Green Development for Staffordshire Hayes Bridge

Students on the undergraduate Architecture and Landscape Architecture elective programme are currently working with ‘Friends of the Hayes’ to develop a bridge structure using green timber sourced from surrounding woodland. The project, sponsored by St. Modwen’s Environmental Trust, will commence its second phase next term, with construction planned for summer 2011.

The project is being coordinated by Alessandro Columbano, Lecturer in Architecture at the Birmingham School of Architecture. Alessandro.columbano@bcu.ac.uk
