Built upon a foundation of art practice and educated in architecture, landscape, urban design and horticulture, Emma’s work crosses disciplinary boundaries to place the human experience at the centre of design rationale.

With a decade of industry experience, Emma brings an understanding of technical resolution and project delivery across multiple sectors to the learning environment. Her pedagogy blends practical elements with reflective practice, aimed at providing future landscape architects with a toolbox of appropriate, useful, and creative resources.

A primarily visual communicator, she utilizes drawing and painting as a method to explore spatial relationships, and an aid to synthesize observations.

The rationalization of abstract concepts through her mark-making interrogates the built environment and human relationships as a representation of collective experiences.
