Garland, Rebello and Locke

The much-loved and celebrated pairing of jazz luminaries Jason Rebello and Tim Garland return to Eastside jazz Club with long term friend from New York, vibraphone virtuoso Joe Locke.

Join them for an intimate winter themed set of sparkling contemporary jazz where lyricism and jaw dropping virtuosity joyously coexist.

Tim and Jason’s latest album ‘Life to Life’ documents the culmination of three decades worth of respectful colleagueship between two of the UK’s most revered jazz musicians. Rebello and Garland are both lauded musicians who between them have worked with luminaries such as Sting, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter and Jeff Beck.

Joe Locke is widely considered to be one of the major voices of his instrument. He has performed and recorded with a diverse range of notable musicians, including Grover Washington Jr, Raul Midón, Kenny Barron, Eddie Henderson, Cecil Taylor, Dianne Reeves, Eddie Palmieri, Ron Carter, Bobby Hutcherson and The Beastie Boys.

“In the select group of contemporary vibes players, Locke has claims to head the list.” Penguin Encyclopaedia of Jazz

“Tim’s level of genius is rare”  Chick Corea

“At 21, Jason is probably the most gifted and fluent pianist to emerge in Britain since Django Bates” Neville Hadsley, Jazz FM 1990
