Brahms arr. Robin Holloway Symphony in F minor

The Purcell School is the oldest specialist music school in the country, providing a rounded education with music at its heart for just under 200 exceptionally talented young players, singers and composers.

The Purcell School Symphony Orchestra presents what the school excels at: outstanding musical performance of traditional repertoire, infused with an intriguing twist of new flavours.

Join us in celebrating the culmination of our 60th anniversary Purcell Composers @ 60 project with the 4th instalment of Purcell Parallels in which an established composer is paired with a student to work alongside one another on two new works.

Additionally, we honour the 80th birthday of the esteemed composer and educator, Robin Holloway, with his new arrangement of Brahms's great F minor Piano Quintet.

Running time approx. 55 minutes with no interval.
