Brass Band Summer Concert

The RBC Brass Band will be joined by soloists Dewi Griffiths (cornet) and Siôn Jones (euphonium) from the internationally renowned Tredegar Town Band for a concert directed by Ian Porthouse.  The second half of the event will also feature a performance by the RBC Brass Ensemble under the direction of Head of Brass Edward Jones.

The programme will include a number of classic works for brass band such as Elgar Howarth’s Fireworks and Philip Sparke’s Music of the Spheres.  There will also be a performance of Sparke’s Concerto Grosso, alongside a new work by talented teenage composer Tamsin Crook.
