Internationally renowned bassoonist Ole Kristian Dahl joins City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Bassoons. This performance will showcase a programme dedicated entirely to the bassoon sextet.
Ole Kristian Dahl is Professor of Bassoon at the Mannheim University of Music and Acting Principal Bassoon with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. He previously held principal roles with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne. As a guest principal, he has performed with ensembles including the Berlin Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Alongside his performance career, Dahl regularly teaches masterclasses internationally, and many of his former students now hold positions in orchestras across Europe.
