Cite Them Right Harvard
Harvard referencing is the main referencing system used by the university. Cite Them Right Harvard is our newest version of Harvard style. If you're unsure which version of Harvard to use, please check with your tutor.
Cite Them Right
The Cite Them Right Harvard Guidelines can be accessed via the link below. You'll find examples of referencing structure for both your in-text and full references.
The in-text citation is a marker you put in your text to show that you are referring to a source. For example, you may have given a direct quotation or summarised the ideas from the source. The marker you use links to the full reference in your reference list.
The full reference in your bibliography gives details about the source you have cited in your text so that you can go from the source to the original from the details given. References are listed in an organized, structured and consistent way, at the end of your work, before any appendices. Footnotes and endnotes are not used in the Harvard (author-date) referencing style.
