What’s your top tip for studying in the library?

Library News Last updated 11 May

We're bringing back our Be Considerate campaign: collecting comments by students, for students. Over the next few weeks, you'll spot top tips shared by fellow students across our libraries, website, and social media. These tips cover everything from study skills and finding resources to making sure everyone can use the library spaces with respect for each other.

We're also launching this year's Be Considerate Competition! Running until the 22 May 2026, we're inviting students to share their top tips for studying in the library. It's your chance to have a real say in how BCU libraries continue to grow and support everyone.

Thanks to previous competitions, your feedback has:

  • Promoted a more considerate study environment
  • Helped students strengthen their study skills
  • Shaped developments to library services and spaces

And yes—there are prizes! 🎉There are 12 up for grabs, including WiFi headphones, charging packs, and Amazon vouchers.

Share your top tips now
