Where a full-time undergraduate student opts to extend the normal length of a Bachelor’s degree by an additional year in order to take a full-year work placement there will be no fee for the additional placement year.

The fee set for entrants will apply to them for the duration of their studies. Fees will be subject to an annual inflationary increase, in line with the amount set by the Government.

The new tuition fee announcements do not include courses that are funded by the NHS through the Strategic Health Authority (SHA) for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals.

Financial options and advice

We have deliberately tried to set affordable fees wherever possible to help our students avoid debt. We’ve also set clear, transparent fees - rather than charging £9,000 across the board and then offsetting the fees with complicated bursaries.

Full-time students won’t have to pay for tuition fees until after their studies – there are government tuition fee loans available. If you are a full-time student, after leaving university you will start to pay back your loan once you are earning over £21,000 a year, at a rate of nine per cent on any income above £21,000. So if you were earning £25,000, you would pay back nine per cent of £4,000, or £30 per month.

For more information, including examples of typical loan repayments, you can download Facts on financial support for full-time students and Facts on financial support for part-time students.
