How to pay
The quicker you notify us of your payment, the quicker your Visa application can be processed.
We can accept your course fees in Pounds Sterling only and offer a number of payment methods.
You can now pay your £1,500 deposit as a secure payment online at International Deposit Payments Online. Please note, you can only pay £1,500 in any one transaction.
You can pay through PaytoStudy – you will need to create an account. You will need to also upload your ID and your offer letter.
Please note that on your bank statement you will not see the money go to Birmingham City University but a local bank. The PaytoStudy Payments Service is provided by Interpay Ltd. trading as Transfermate and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

Set up the transaction with your bank to pay Birmingham City University’s bank account directly. Remember to ask your bank to quote your full name and the application number on your offer letter.

Please don’t transfer money for your living costs. You should only send tuition fees and accommodation fees to us.
Banker's drafts should be made payable to 'Birmingham City University'.
Please ensure that you write your University Application Number and full name on the reverse of the draft. The draft should be sent by courier to our International Office address, which is detailed on your offer letter.
Obtain prior approval
When making any large payments to the University we strongly recommend you obtain prior approval from your bank or credit card company to avoid potential delays in processing your transaction.
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro.
To pay this way please come to the University in person as we can only accept credit or debit card payments in person.
Personal cheques drawn on a UK bank account should be made payable to ‘Birmingham City University.
Post-dated cheques (cheques made payable for a date in the future) will not be accepted.
Please write your University Application Number and full name on the reverse of your cheque, which you should send by courier to the International Office address detailed on your offer letter.
Tuition fees can be paid at enrolment using Pounds Sterling traveller’s cheques.

These should be made payable to ‘Birmingham City University,’ and you will need to countersign each cheque in the presence of the enrolment officer.

We do accept cash payments, but please don’t send cash to us by post. We also advise that you do not carry large sums of money with you.
