Kenya Choral Connections
An evening with the Choir of All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, Kenya
Special Guests: Teddy Otieno piano, David Sotunde saxophone
A youthful and inspirational group of singers with a national reputation in Kenya, the Choir of All Saints Cathedral visit Birmingham as part of their first ever international tour.
You will hear a diverse mix of uplifting, joyful and emotive music with an African twist, inspirational songs by contemporary writers, hymns and classical sacred music, and even songs from favourite shows and films, all sung with the passion and commitment for which the Choir is renowned.
Special guests are Kenyan pianist and Conservatoire graduate Teddy Otieno, and young jazz saxophonist David Sotunde, who is fast making a name for himself as a musical talent to watch.
Hope and Homes for Children has inspired the UN, EU and local and national governments worldwide, from Romania to Rwanda, to close the doors of orphanages forever. In their place, Hope and Homes fights to keep families together, to reunite them, and to create new ones.
