Hayao Miyazaki's Dreams by Mystery Ensemble

A one-of-a-kind musical experience awaits at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

The Miyazaki Dreams concert is a journey into the enchanting worlds of legendary Japanese director and Oscar-winner Hayao Miyazaki. The Mystery Ensemble has curated a magical selection of music from his most beloved anime films, along with compositions inspired by his storytelling artistry.

The evening programme features the breathtaking works of Joe Hisaishi, including iconic soundtracks from My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, and more. Additionally, the concert includes pieces by other composers influenced by Miyazaki’s imaginative and visually stunning masterpieces.

Musical themes will transport audiences into the heart of legendary anime stories, immersing them in the spirit of brave heroines, magical creatures, and folklore-inspired characters.

This concert is part of a series of immersive musical experiences created by Red Events & Distribution Ltd., known for their exceptional cultural events in historic mansions, on scenic rooftops, in botanical greenhouses, and other atmospheric venues across the UK, Europe, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and beyond. Their repertoire includes candlelit concerts and fully immersive performances with video art and spatial sound design.

Duration: 60 minutes (doors open 30 minutes prior; late entry is not permitted).
