Shape change
Throughout 2024, there will be a range of opportunities for all members of our community to get involved in the 'That’s Me!' project and help shape positive change.
Opportunities for Staff: Become a reverse mentee
Reverse Mentoring is a mentoring relationship where the traditional roles of mentor and mentee are reversed. In this setup, less experienced members of the academic community take on the role of mentors, providing guidance, support, and knowledge to more experienced members.
Reverse Mentoring aims to amplify marginalised voices, contributing to a more dynamic and inclusive culture, fostering the professional development of colleagues across all levels of experience.
In May 2024, BCU will launch a Reverse Mentoring Pilot Scheme as part of That’s Me!, welcoming Global Majority postgraduate researchers to share their expertise and guide senior leaders in the postgraduate research space and on our Global Majority Steering Committee.
That's Me! Eliminating barriers to postgraduate research
BCU is proud to partner with the University of Wolverhampton to deliver That’s Me! Eliminating barriers to postgraduate research study in the West Midlands.
This is a highly prestigious project funded by the UKRI and Office of Students as part of a nationwide programme to widen participation in post graduate research.
