China – virtual auditions only
Hong Kong – virtual auditions only
For entry in September 2022, virtual auditions are in operation for international applicants in all countries except Taiwan.
Please send us your audition video within two weeks of applying in order to be considered during our main audition period in November and December. We advise that you submit an audition video via a video sharing platform such as YouTube, Vimeo or YouKu.
As part of your virtual audition you may be invited to attend a virtual interview where you may be asked to perform technical assessments such as sight reading and scales. The virtual interview will also give you a chance to meet our staff and ask questions about life as an international student at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
We know that attending a virtual audition will be a new experience for many of our applicants so we have prepared detailed guidance and advice on our Audition Advice page to help you prepare for your virtual audition and interview.
You will automatically be considered for a scholarship based on your virtual audition.
If you would like further detailed information or would like to book an audition, please contact our representative in your country:
