Piano en Pointe - Act 2
Following last year’s sold-out performance, Piano en Pointe returns to the Recital Hall with a brand-new programme.
Join Year 12 from Elmhurst Ballet School, pianist Sarah Potjewijd, and piano students from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire for an evening of scenes from classic ballets such as Swan Lake, Spartacus and La Bayadère, interspersed with musical interludes by composers such as Chopin, Chaminade and Schumann.
Elmhurst Ballet School, located in Edgbaston, is a prestigious vocational dance school associated with Birmingham Royal Ballet. Since 2018, Elmhurst and RBC have run a Ballet Pianist Placement Scheme – a collaboration which, through Sarah Potjewijd’s Final Project in 2025, has developed into performances celebrating the talent of both institutions.
