Big Band Double Bill: RBC Jazz Orchestra Prize Winners Concert and Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra
The long-established composition and arranging prize in the names of Johnny Dankworth and Eddie Harvey makes an excellent concert and we are proud to host this for a second year running. You will be hearing our own RBC Jazz Orchestra performing the 2026 prizewinners, generously supported by the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, this opening set will be shortly followed by the internationally-renowned Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra, still going strong after all these years, led inimitably by John Ruddick. Famous alumni of MYJO include Mark Nightingale, Andy Wood, Martin Shaw, Pete Cater, Percy Pursglove and Julian Arguelles to name but a few. Come and see the stars of the future.
Running time approx. two hours
