Pavel Fischer

Pavel graduated from Prague Conservatoire and Academy of Performing Arts. He has gained many awards from important international competitions with numerous chambers ensembles. As the leader of the prestigious Škampa Quartet he appeared at important venues all over the world (Santory Hall, Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, etc). For many years he was a guest teacher at the Royal Academy of Music in London, from 2008 he became a tutor of violin at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Recently he has devoted a great deal of time and energy to composition. His first string quartet Morava was premiered at Carnegie Hall in New York.
