Christina Bean

PGDip Viola
Year graduated: 2012

I chose to enrol at Birmingham Conservatoire because I wanted to study with Robin Ireland.

I enjoyed having the opportunity to play with many different ensembles and play in master classes with very interesting and experienced tutors. The range of musical activities was vast; from playing Haydn with Maggie Faultless to playing recent compositions by Heiner Goebbels and new works by the conservatoire composition students.

During my time at the Birmingham Conservatoire I learned to be more confident in my abilities.

At the moment I am taking part in the LPO Foyle Future Firsts Scheme in London as well as working as a freelance musician with professional orchestras around the country.
