I chose to join Royal Birmingham Conservatoire for postgraduate study because I wanted to study with Robin Ireland, RBC's Head of Chamber Music & Senior Viola Tutor.

I enjoyed having the opportunity to play with many different ensembles and play in master classes with very interesting and experienced tutors. The range of musical activities was vast; from playing Haydn with Maggie Faultless to playing recent compositions by Heiner Goebbels and new works by the conservatoire composition students. During my time at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire I learned to be more confident in my abilities.

During my time studying I took part in the London Sinfonietta Academy, London Philharmonic’s Foyle Future Firsts Development Programme and The Hallé String Leadership Scheme.

I am now a member of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, but before joining I worked as a freelance musician with orchestras around the UK, including The Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and The Orchestra of the Swan. I have also worked as a musician with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon.
