Chinese watercolour landscape

A cross-cultural performance, based on physical movement and acting.

Presented by PhD, MFA and BA acting students and graduates from RBC.

The body is a part of culture, actions are a part of thoughts, and the fusion of cultures is a part of theatre. The ancient Chinese artistic language is transformed by actors through their bodies and brought up to date.

The Wind from the East is a cross-cultural feast.

The music consists of original work inspired by elements of traditional Chinese music, along with piano arrangements based on Chinese operas.

Running time approx. two hours, including a 20-minute interval.
