The City That Shaped Us is a concert combining specially curated photos and newly composed music to showcase the best of Birmingham—from the city’s vibrant art scene to its serene green spaces; from its thriving local businesses to its teeming nightlife; and from a bustling metropolis to the small moments we share with our loved ones.

Featuring music by James Sharif and photography by Aslan, Jack Babington, Josh Bailey, Su Hào Tía , Joseph McLaughlin, Ryley Morton, Lola Obadare, Jake Phillips, Strawberry Pope, Victoria Reardon-Smith, Bianca Vancea, and Yang Zhou.

In addition to the concert, there will be an exhibition exploring the connection between the photographers' work and areas of Birmingham. The exhibition is free and runs from March 11th-28th in the Upper and Lower Foyer of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
