Serendipity: An Evening of Poetry
Eastside Jazz Club, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
200 Jennens Road, B4 7XR
Free - booking required

Curated by Gregory Leadbetter
Gregory Leadbetter is a poet, Professor at BCU and Director of the Institute of Creative and Critical Writing. His regular evenings of poetry readings are headlined by professional poets, and also include slots for students to read their work, airing a fresh and varied selection of voices that is as diverse as the student intake itself. Informal and invigorating, these short sessions reflect the wide variety of voices and styles of British contemporary poetry, and celebrate the vibrant West Midlands poetry scene.
The evening features Gregory reading his own work alongside guests including French Basque poet Julie Irigary and New Delhi-based writer Uttaran Das Gupta.
