A pile of books about India

Scripted Landscapes: Reading the Region

Scripted Landscapes: Reading the Region is a pop-up library featuring a curated collection of books that explore the diverse cultural, artistic, and historical landscapes of India and the region.

Curated by Pedro Cravinho from Birmingham City University, the library offers visitors a chance to engage deeply with India through literature, inviting quiet discovery, reflection, and conversation through the written word.

A special highlight is a dedicated section on the history of Indian music, showcasing texts from the collection of Sunil Kant Munjal.
